The process of disconnecting from Touchbase is straightforward, but the implications and functionality can vary depending on whether you're using the app on your phone or a browser. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to disconnect and what exactly happens when you do.

How to Disconnect

What Happens When You Disconnect

When you first download and log into the SM2 app on your phone, you're asked to name the device. This step is crucial as it ties your phone to your account, enabling you to receive app notifications.

However, if you decide to switch to another account on the same device, the process is slightly different:

  1. Go to your settings and click on 'disconnect'.
  2. Log in with your other account.

At this stage, the app doesn't ask you to identify the device because the phone is still tied to the original account. It's important to note that you will still receive the app notifications for the original account even if you logged in with another account.

Even when you've switched accounts, once you fully close the app (by swiping it away in your "recently used apps" window), you'll be reconnected to the original account. Disconnecting and logging into a new account allows you to access the information present in the new account, but once the app is completely closed, the original account stays logged in.

If you want to be logged out indefinitely from the original account, you will need to go to the settings of the original account and delete the Touchbase SM2 app from the destinations. Here is how to do this:

  1. Go to the original account’s Touchbase settings.
  2. Click on the reception profile.
  3. Select the SM2 application tied to this phone.
  4. Hit delete at the bottom.

For browser users, the functionality remains the same.
